The drive from Magnolia.
From the FM 1488 and FM 1774 crossroads in the middle of town, head east on 1488, turn north on FM 2978, and turn right onto Woodlands Parkway. We are in the first stretch of the parkway, in Sterling Ridge, at 6700 Woodlands Pkwy, Ste. 200. Coming from the country north of town, FM 1488 is still the easiest way in. You never have to touch I-45.
Country living is hard on a back.
Magnolia is acreage country. Once you get off 1488 and 1774 you are into pasture, pine, and properties measured in acres instead of feet. That way of living produces injuries a city practice rarely sees. Fence lines that need pulling. Tractors and brush hogs. Feed sacks. Round bales. Stalls that need mucking every morning whether your back agrees or not.
Horses in particular. There are a lot of them out here, and riders come in with two very different problems: the slow compression of a spine that spends hours in the saddle, and the sudden kind, from coming off. A fall onto a hip or tailbone sends force straight up through the pelvis into the low back, and people usually decide to tough that one out.
Building is the other engine here. Magnolia has been growing fast for years, and framing crews, roofers, plumbers, and electricians all live nearby. Bent over, overhead, kneeling, then in a truck for the drive between jobs. Their necks and shoulders arrive in about that order.
And then there are the commuters. Plenty of Magnolia families work in The Woodlands or Houston and run 1488 twice a day. An hour behind the wheel plus a full day at a desk is a low back problem waiting for a trigger.
What we most often treat for Magnolia patients.
- Low back pain from lifting, riding, and ranch work
- Sciatica after a fall onto the hip or tailbone
- Bulging and herniated discs treated with non-surgical spinal decompression
- Neck and shoulder strain from overhead trade work
- Mid back and rib pain from repetitive twisting and lifting
- Numbness and burning in the hands or feet through our neuropathy program
- Back and neck injury after a wreck on 1488 or 1774
What the first visit gets you.
Dr. Christopher Boss spends an hour with you. He asks what you were doing when it started, watches how you move, and tests the nerves in both legs. Then he shows you a 3D model of the spine and points at what is going on inside yours. You leave with a plan, a rough count of visits, and the price in the open. Most major plans accepted. Self-pay is available.
Nobody is going to tell you to stop feeding your animals. We plan around the work that has to get done, and we teach you how to lift and load so the same injury does not come back in March.
